I hardly know where to begin.....

Erm, EvE was designed from he start as a niche game.
Carebears are annoying for one reason only: they cry for game changes that affect everyone. Players who mainly mine or manufacture or trade are not ipso facto carebears. Players who, rather than engage the game on equal terms believe that they deserve to "win" are carebears.
If this is your description of a CareBear, you should re-think your position. 80% or so of the posts in the last 4 weeks with players whining that they couldn't do this, nerf xx, etc have been 0.0 and LowSec players. So, leave Empire players alone, we aren't whining unless someone tries to CHANGE our playstyle!

Yet oddly, players who believe they should be invulnerable while mining or mission running never seem to think that combat PvPers should be immune from their economic PvP. Freighters or haulers that can't be ganked are the equivalent of player-owned Concord ships. It's not a good idea that I should have a ship that can't be destroyed and always wins fights; it's not a good idea that traders have a ship that gives them a huge, untouchable source of income. It's not a good idea that mission runners can't be found and attacked.
Last I looked: 1) Any ship can get ganked, no ship is invulnerable. 2) Owning a frieghter does not magically give you ISK. I think you still have to buy, move, trade etc, don't you? And it isn't untouchable... 3) Mission runners can get attacked and ganked, per the normal rules. Deadspace missions can be probed out and found.
Now if you meant that is what "carebears" were whining about, lets look at: 1) OMFG!!! Nerf CLoaks, I can't shoot someone 2) OMFG!! Nerf WTZ, I can't shoot someone 3) OMFG!!! Nerf Nanos, I can't shoot someone 4) OMFG!!! Nerf the Drake, its too tough for me to kill 5) OMFG!!! Nerf missions, someone else makes too much/has better ships than me/has it too easy! 6) OMFG!!! (you get the idea)
WHat was your point again? That people will ***** about other people's play-styles?

Would you trade hi-sec invulnerability for a fixed at item database price market? How would it be if the only place where you could sell what you mine or make or loot for the price you like was in 0.0?
No. Because EvE is a sandbox, I will not tolerate restrictions on my playing. There is no logical sense in forcing any of these things into the game.

Now that would be interesting, wouldn't it? Then Empire really would be as it was intended, the safe "training ground" that you have to leave if you really want to succeed at any aspect of the game. And - bonus! - Jita is fixed
EvE is a sandbox, not some game like WoW with level restrictions on where you go, etc. And that is exactly what you are asking for here: "You are not a n00b, you don't 'belong' in High Sec".
Maybe EvE isn't for you any more. Ever think that maybe the "good old days" were good simply because you hadn't been playing for 3+ years? Maybe its time to move on.... <-----------> Factional Warfare:
